Why I Love Baseball - Contest

During the WCBF event, children will have opportunity to learn the basic skills of baseball, with emphasis on fun, participation, teamwork and friendship. This is a time for the children to enjoy and share their love of baseball and learn worldwide cultures.

The participants will attend morning baseball clinics instructed by coaches who are selected by the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC). Each afternoon and evening, participants partake in cultural and recreational activities to further enhance cultural understanding and appreciation.

Participants will also be asked to perform something to introduce their respective country to the fair, such as singing, dancing or playing musical instruments at the goodwill party. There will also be formal Opening and Closing Ceremonies.

Any Baseball NB registered player (male or female of 10 to 11 years of age) wishing to attend must submit a “Why I love Baseball” letter explaining why they love the sport of baseball along with why they would like to attend the fair. Please see below for full contest rules and guidelines. If you have further questions please contact the Baseball NB office at 506-451-1329 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
