What are the requirements to becoming a certified baseball coach?

Depending on the objectives of the coach, there are many different options that are available. There are four types of coaches: Initiation, Regional, Provincial and Development. Each coach must complete all of the following in order to become certified:

Initiation Coach: He is required to have completed the online module found on the nccp.baseball.ca website and must have the initiation workshop completed.

Regional Coach: He is required to complete the skills analysis, planning and teaching and learning workshops. There is also an on field evaluation by an official that must be done.

Provincial Coach: He is required to have completed, pitching and catching, and the strategies workshop. An evaluation by an official during a game must be done.

Development Context Coach: He is required to have completed the 6 Comp-Dev modules technical modules of Baseball Canada, the 4 Comp-Dev Intergrated modules of Baseball Canada, and the 6 Multi-Sport Module by your Provincial Sport Organization. An evaluation with Baseball Canada must also be completed.
